The rosh yeshiva had a neighbor who was very spiteful. One year, he made a big deal about some leaves from the rosh yeshiva’s s’chach that fell off the sukkah and into his backyard. The neighbor raised his voice in anger to the rosh yeshiva and declared, “This is the last year that your leaves will fall in my backyard!” And that’s exactly what happened. The neighbor didn’t make it until the next Sukkos.
