A few years ago, the rosh yeshiva was discussing with the hanhalah of the yeshiva his upcoming (second) wedding. Someone mentioned that the custom is for a second wedding to be small. The rosh yeshiva agreed. He said, “I’m willing to have a small wedding. I’m only going to invite close family.” That’s exactly what he did–he only invited hundreds of his talmidim.
