An Age-Old Question

Rav Yosef Weissmandl took his son Rav Chaim Michoel Dov (Michoel Ber) Weissmandl (1903–1957) to receive a berachah from Rav Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky (1867–1948). Rav Michoel Dov was just a young boy of 11 at the time. While they were visiting Rav Dushinsky, someone else entered to ask the rav a question: A shidduch was suggested for a young man with a woman who was older than him. Was the shidduch appropriate? A young Michoel Ber asked Rav Dushinsky for permission to answer to the question, which was immediately granted.
Michoel Ber began to weave together three separate passages of Gemara. The Gemara (Bava Metzia 84a) relates that Rebbe Yochanan was swimming, when the chief of a group of bandits noticed him. The head bandit took a massive leap and landed next to Rebbe Yochanan. Whereupon Rebbe Yochanan remarked, “Your strength is appropriate for Torah learning.”
The chief bandit replied, “And your beauty is fit for a woman!”
